Outdoor Learning
At St. Paul’s, we aim to use Forest Schools to encourage and inspire our children through positive outdoor experiences. All our children from aged 2-11, have access to ‘The Wild Wood’ on a regular basis.
By participating in engaging, motivating and achievable tasks and activities in a woodland environment, each child has an opportunity to develop intrinsic motivation and emotional and social skills. We also deliver well-being and mindfulness sessions in our Forest School with Purely Wellbeing.
The children have the opportunity to learn about the natural environment, how to handle risks and how to use their own initiative to solve problems and co-operate with others. Our Forest School programme runs throughout the year. Children have the opportunity to use tools, play, learn about the natural world and grow in confidence and self-esteem.
